I'm obsessed
So those of you who knew my before college probably know how much I love to scrapbook. I used to spend hours and hours scrapbooking with Heidi and Kim. We'd have sleepovers and stay up all night cropping pictures and arranging decorative paper. I am sad to admit that although I have lugged my huge totes of supplies to each and every storage-starved apartment that I've lived in, I haven't really pulled it out and scrapbooked for the last 4 years. I'm a little ashamed! That all changed a few months ago however when I discovered DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING!! It is the best.I have a program that I bought from my mom (Creative Memories Storybook) You only have to buy things once and then you get to use it over and over again. The possibilities are endless because you can take a certain paper and change it into any color imaginable to make it look totally different. It saves me money because I don't have to buy supplies AND print out all those digital pictures. I think the best part is that I can just sit at my laptop for hours scrapbooking and there is no mess on the living room floor for days at a time. I can work on it for a few minutes here and there and don't have to worry about getting everything out and putting everything away. It is so wonderful. It is also really fast. There are predesigned pages that I can just put my pictures into and make little adjustments as needed, or else I can make pages from scratch. Here is a very small sampling of a few different pages. I am so glad that my mom taught me from a young age how important it is to document our lives and families through scrapbooking. I would have killed for just one scrapbook of my ansestors! If anyone is looking for an AWESOME digital scrapbooking program let me know!

I am so interested in digital scrapbooking I just don't know where to start or which programs are best. Is it pretty self-explanatory once you buy a program? Do you print off your pages or keep them on your computer? Your pages look really good!
Reply to Heather: Well you could look at my program and see if it is one that you like. Its honestly one of the best ones out there. It is pretty easy to use but they have tutorial videos for everything so it is super easy to figure out the more complicated stuff. The cool thing about this is program is that you can print pages from your own printer (if it is good enough), you can get it printed through Creative Memories(that is a kind of expensive option but they turn out really really nice) or what I usually do is send it to Costco or Sams club online to be printed. There is also an option to get it made into a Storybook through CM. It looks like a beautiful colored story book, bound and everything. (If that makes sense). I have a couple of those-one is my engagement pictures. Anyway, maybe we should just have a scrapbooking party and you can play on my computer to see if you like it.
Hey Leah,

Yes Leah you should have a scrapbooking party. I would totally come. I had the same questions as Heather. Only I just went to this website..peppermint creative. It way cool..you can buy digital scrapbooking supplies and create your own liitle page., like you have done. But I am so retarded when it comes to putting it all together. So I hope someone can help me. Let me know. :)
Oh I forgot to mention that your pages look amazing. You two are so cute together, and so photogenic. Luv YA cutie!
Sorry about leaving you a few messages...:) I have another ?. Do you know the couple that is the sec. to the left in that group photo from your dance? The guys name is Ben Koger and I can't remember the girls name. I wondered if they were dating or if they just went that dance together. I went to High School with both of them.
Leah, I would love to come over and learn more about digital scrapbooking. We should have a girls day (before Taryn leaves, I think she wants to learn how too). Let me know if you want to.
