According to the old wives...

I decided I'm sick of waiting so I consulted the "old wives tales" to figure out if I'm having a boy or a girl. Here were my results.
You have a 33% chance of having a boy.
And you have a 66% chance of having a girl!!!

And Here's Why...
You are carrying the extra weight out front, so it's a boy.
The hair on your legs is not growing any faster during your preganacy, so it's a girl.
Your feet are not colder than they were before pregnancy. You are having a girl.
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread. You are having a girl.
Dad-to-be hasn't been gaining weight along with Mom-to-be, so it will be a girl.
The maternal grandmother has gray hair, so a boy will be born.
You had morning sickness early in pregnancy, so you are expecting a girl.
You are not looking particularly good during pregnancy. Therefore, it must be a girl, because girls steal their mother's looks.
Your chest development has not been very dramatic during pregnancy. You should expect a boy.
Since the sum of the mother's age at conception and the number of the month of conception is an odd number, it will be a girl.
A needle on a thread held over you belly moves from side-to-side, so it will be a girl.
You are craving sweets, which means that it is a girl.
Your nose hasn't changed during pregnancy, which indicates a girl.
You have been craving fruits, so it is a girl.
Your baby's heart rate is 140 or more beats per minute, so it's a girl.
You have no desire for orange juice, so it's a boy.
You are having headaches, so it's a boy.
Your belly looks like a basketball, not a watermelon, so it's a boy.
You show the palm of your hand rather than the back of your hand when someone asks to see your hand, so it's a girl.
You use the handle on a mug, so it's a boy.

16 weeks pregnant photo

Baby update: I am 17 weeks (and four days) pregnant! I am no longer sick (YAY!!) and have much more energy. I'm not a fan of the constant stuffy nose and occasional heartburn that has started to creep into my life, but really those are my only complaints! I feel like I have a baby belly that is so obvious but most people laugh at me when I show them. In TWO weeks we have our next baby appointment which includes the ultrasound where we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Its driving me crazy. I have started having the strangest dreams about it-from dreaming that Chase did the ultrasound without me and forgot to ask if we were having a boy or girl(how in the world??) , to the doctors office calling to tell me that they had to reschedule my appointment for March 5 (duedate: March 11), to seeing the ultrasound and our little baby was neither boy nor girl...a he/she. AHH! Besides those non-revelatory dreams, I have no clue whether we should start buying blue or pink. I'd love to see what you all think! I'll put up the voter for two weeks until our appointment on Oct.19

You look super cute. I can't wait to hear what you're having. I had crazy dreams when I was pregnant too, that'll probably last the rest of the time. Glad you're out of the woods with the sickness :)

Oh the anticipation! I feel for you...and you know I do, because I waited unti I was 22 weeks and 5 days to find out what I was having :) I voted boy, but I really have no clue. I thought our little gal was a boy and I was way off. But another little girl to someday occupy Old Farm apt Q2 would be great :) Glad you are feeling better. Who knew you got a stuffy nose with pregnancy?!? So weird. Anyways...can't wait to hear the big news!

Ahhh! You have the cutest little baby belly I have ever seen! I'm SO excited for you guys :)

I voted girl, just by the way you are carrying..but who knows. Haha - I am certainly not the expert. Whether it's a girl or boy, they will be absolutely precious. Can't wait to meet him or her.

Have you had any dreams... that's what gives mine away! I know the waiting seems for ever, but as soon as you know then it's shopping time, which helps the time go fast.
can't wait for the next post to tell us what the babies flavor is.
